Updates! Finally!
New solid state relays are being installed in the existing relay cabinet. The old relay parts are visible in the background to the left of the garbage cans.
Here is the console after all the old components have been removed.
The finish on the console has been cleaned up. After many years the finish was very scratched and worn. A little stain and a couple coats of varathane have greatly improved things.
The existing manual keyboards have had new key tops installed and have been replaced in the console. The new stop rail is being fitted in this picture.
Here the new stop rail with its new tabs has been installed in the console.
A new and larger complement of pistons has been installed in the existing piston rails. The cabling for the pistons is being run in this picture.
Here is the back of the console with the new solid state equipment being installed.
Here are the shells for the new windchests for the Mixture and Trompette.
These are the largest pipes of the vintage 16' Trompette that is being installed as a part of this restoration project.
This is the new III Mixture and windchest. The vertical pieces of wood on the front of the chest hold the access doors tightly in place. This makes access to the windchest very simple as it can be opened without having to remove any screws. The chest for the new Trompette can be seen behind the mixture chest. This chest has sliding access panels on the bottom which are held in place by gravity and sealed tightly by the wind pressure inside the chest. When the blower is off the panels can be easily lifted and slid to one end or the other to allow for access to the inside of the wind chest.
Click here to watch a video of the toe holes in the mixture topboard being countersunk and burnished. There are 183 holes in the top of this windchest! The video is rather large, so please be patient.
Pipes of the 8' Trompette fresh from being voiced
Notes 1-6 of the 8' Trompette
Notes 1-12 of the 16' Posaune.

The view from the chamber door. The new solid state relay system in on the right. The chest for the new 16' Trumpet is on the left and the existing main windchests are in the background.
This is the windchest for the new III Mixture installed directly in front of the swell shades.
The console in its new place on the main floor of the chapel. The console was previously installed in a small balcony at the rear of the chapel.
8' Trompette pipes installed in the organ chamber. The pipes of the 16' Bourdon and 16' Lieblich Gedeckt are to the right of the Trompettes.
The pipes of the Melodia are on the left and Gedeckt on the right. In the center are the pipes of the new 4' Octave and 2' Spitz Fifteenth.
The pipes of the far left are the new 8' Principal. The new 1 3/5' Tierce is in the extreme foreground with the tapered Gemshorn in the center and the Melodia in the background. The Gemshorn, Melodia, and Gedeckt are the only ranks retained from the original organ.
The new III Mixture installed on its windchest. The swell shades are to the right.
The pipes of the 16' Posaune. This is a full length 16' stop but the pipes are "mitered" or coiled up on themselves so that they are only about 9' tall.
Click here to listen to this organ. The tune is "Aurelia" and the arrangement is my own. Its not too bad if you tune out the occassional wrong note!
